Rhyzome Creative Network
We are creating a network of creative groups (16+) to support collaboration and raise the profile of your group. Whether it’s art, music, dance, knitting, singing, or any other creative passion, through this network, we aim to help you grow and establish yourself within the community of Slough.
Water Lives Here
“Water Lives Here” is a Project Sponge initiative, in collaboration with Viva Slough and Dulux Paint. It is an intergenerational, community-led project celebrating the Salt Hill Stream, a vital but hidden waterway running beneath Salt Hill Park in Slough. This project transforms a once-neglected tunnel connecting two essential green spaces for climate resilience; Salt Hill Park and Baylis Park, into a tribute to local nature and community spirit.
Slough (Queensmere Entrance)
The celebration of diversity, cultures, and the rejection of racial stereotypes are vital ingredients in ensuring fair representation. Community is all about the people within it, and it is my responsibility to authentically portray an array of faces, hairtypes, age groups, and ethnicities with a locally accurate appearance. It is not enough to discuss racial representation; we must make it visible to all.

In designing the community mural for the Slough Trading Estate, the artist’s goal was to reflect SEGRO’s commitment to excellence, sustainability, and innovation. Slough Trading Estate stands as a hub for businesses, a frontrunner in sustainable
practices and boasts a diverse and inclusive community.

Upon the canvas of a towering wall, a story unfolds—a mural pulsating with the essence of connection. At its center, a young girl graces the scene, her countenance serene, lost in the symphony pouring through her headset. In her contemplative solitude, she becomes the embodiment of absorbed connectivity.
Lamp Post Art
Around 18 artists poured their creativity into adorning lampposts with thought-provoking artwork inspired by themes of diversity and the environment.

This design aligns with a nationwide campaign to raise awareness about the challenges of neurodiversity in society. The umbrellas symbolise protection, understanding, and acceptance for individuals with neurodiverse conditions.
