We provide personalised employment support to people new to the UK. You may have recently arrived from Ukraine or Afghanistan to rebuild your life here, or a migrant from another country on a Skilled Worker or Family Visa. The service is free of charge.
How we help
Settling in a new country can be a daunting experience. We will help you to find your way around, learn how things work, and find suitable work placements.
- We will assign a mentor who will learn about your interests, skills and capabilities and help you to plan your future.
- We will guide you to develop your skills and get any certification that may be needed
- We will find suitable jobs through our network of mentors and volunteers.
- We will help you communicate better, improve your English, learn British terms, write good applications and excel at interviews to get the job. .
Who we help
We believe finding meaningful work that you enjoy can give you a new perspective even in the most trying times. Our service is open to anyone new to the UK.
- You need to be currently unemployed and have a right to work in the UK.
- You can be a manual worker or a skilled professional
- You have many years of work experience in your own country or have never worked before
- You are currently living in Slough or the wider East Berkshire area
