SLOUGH MY TOWN
From the other side of the world
I left my country, my town, my people.

I was born in the nearby town of Maidenhead, at the Canadian Red Cross Hospital, to interracial parents.

I have been a photographer working in Slough since the late 1980’s when I used to cover Slough Town games

Mrs Hussain you have cancer!! These are the words I remember, nothing else at that appointment made sense.

Shoba’s story has inspired us to take action, and motivated us to persevere through uncertainty. 🙏 We are so thankful
