It’s incredible to think that it’s been close to two years since we set foot in Slough. I wanted to take a moment to share my experiences with you, as I believe that every individual has their own desires and aspirations to explore new horizons and achieve something special in life. I came here with my son and husband to embark on an exciting journey of personal growth.
Adapting to a new environment is always a challenge, and I can totally relate to that. When I first started exploring Slough and its surroundings, I was pleasantly surprised by how easily I connected with the people here. The cosmopolitan nature of the city, with its diverse food culture and languages, was a delight for my taste buds. Trying out different cuisines became a regular adventure for me, and I loved every moment of it.
What truly amazed me was the warm and humble nature of the people in Slough. They welcomed me with open arms and always had a smile on their faces. Their patience and willingness to help with any questions I had about settling into my new life here made a lasting impression on me. I’ve learned to appreciate their level of patience and kindness, and I strive to incorporate those qualities into my own life.
While my child didn’t have the opportunity to appear for the Grammar school exam, I discovered that Slough is not only a great place for working professionals but also a hub for education. Many parents strive to provide their children with brighter futures through the excellent educational opportunities available here. Although it didn’t work out for us, I wish all the parents and their children the best of luck in their educational journeys.
As I settled into life in Slough, I found myself exploring the wonders of London. The Elizabeth line and bus no. 702 became my trusty companions, allowing me to travel easily and efficiently. It was a relief for both my wallet and my time, and I thoroughly enjoyed every adventure I embarked on.

During one of my daily online searches, a friend shared a link with me about the “Slough Hub.” Intrigued, I delved deeper and discovered that The Slough Hub is a fantastic organisation dedicated to helping people in various aspects of their lives. The community members associated with The Slough Hub are truly making a positive impact, working towards making Slough an even more beautiful place to live.
I’m grateful for the experiences and opportunities that Slough has provided me.
