Telugu – స్వాగతం

We found ourselves packing our lives into boxes, bound for Slough, a town I knew little about, but which promised a new chapter as my husband had secured a new employment opportunity there. The move wasn’t just a change of scenery, it was the start of a transformation within me. As I navigated through the challenges of settling in a new place, I discovered an inner strength and independence that reshaped who I was.

Amongst all the changes, an event occurred that would mark Slough as a special place in my heart forever, the birth of my child at Wexham Park Hospital. This joyful occasion linked the emotional connection to the town, creating a new life’s story.

As I became more involved with the local community, my roots in Slough deepened. The community was vibrant and engaging, regularly organising social activities that brought neighbours together and built a strong community bond. This sense of belonging was new to me, and incredibly fulfilling.

Over time, I witnessed a transformation in Slough itself. Once perceived as dark and dull, the town began to thrive with the development of The Slough Hub and other local projects, mirroring the positive changes in my own life. The town’s growth reflects its community’s efforts.

Slough became more than just a place to live, it became a symbol of growth, community, and personal empowerment. As I look back on the journey, I see not just the physical move, but a journey of becoming who I was, who I am, and who I aspire to be.
