Work Experience Opportunities
Our Work Experience opportunities help local residents gain practical experience in a workplace and develop a better understanding of the world of work.
Our Employability Skills Sessions are designed to help local residents build the practical skills, confidence and knowledge they need to move closer to employment.
The sessions are friendly, practical and focused on what employers are looking for. Whether you are looking for your first job, returning to work, changing careers or looking for new opportunities, our sessions can help you take the next step.
As part of the programme, we also invite employers and professionals to share their knowledge, experience and advice.
These sessions give you the opportunity to learn more about different industries, understand current opportunities and ask questions directly to people working in the sector.
Our Employability Skills Sessions are connected to the wider support available through the Employability Programme. Depending on your needs, you may also have opportunities to access one-to-one support, conversational English, digital skills, CV support, mock interviews, work experience and employer networking opportunities.
We want you to leave each session with greater confidence, practical skills and a clearer idea of your next step.
